From the mountains of Tlaltetela, Veracruz, Finca La Laja carries the richness of its land in every cup.
This 113-hectare farm is rooted in a warm, humid region known for its biodiversity, volcanic soil, and high elevations — the kind of landscape where coffee grows slowly, deeply, and with character.
Finca La Laja cultivates Caturra and Gárnica varieties under shade, honoring a tradition of careful farming and respect for the land. Since 1980, the producers have focused on sustainable practices and quality-driven harvests, allowing each lot to reflect the beauty and complexity of Veracruz coffee.
This coffee is processed using the washed method, a technique that highlights clarity and balance in the cup. After the coffee cherries are harvested, the fruit is removed from the seed, and the beans are fermented in water to break down the remaining mucilage. They are then washed clean and dried with care.
The result is a cup that feels bright, clean, and expressive — letting the natural character of the farm, the soil, and the variety come through.
A coffee born from mountain mist, volcanic earth, and generations of cuidado.
